WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA CONSERVANCY (WPC) PREVIOUSLY ESTABLISHED 20 PERMANENT VEGETATION MONITORING PLOTS FOLLOWING METHODS DEVELOPED BY THE NPS EASTERN RIVERS AND MOUNTAINS NETWORK (ERMN) AND WILL RETURN TO ASSESS THESE PLOTS A SECOND TIME TO DETECT CHANGE AND MAKE INFERENCES ON DAMAGE TO HABITAT RESOURCES DUE TO DEER OVERBROWSING. WPC WILL PROVIDE A SUMMARY OF THE CONDITION IN YEAR 1 AND YEAR 5 USING THE NPS ERMN DATABASE AND ANALYSIS METHODS.
