THE PURPOSE OF THIS AGREEMENT IS TO COLLABORATE WITH THE STATE OF NEVADA, DIVISION OF MINERALS TO ENHANCE NATIONAL PARK VISITOR EXPERIENCE BY RESTORING ABANDONED MINE LANDS THEREBY ELIMINATING POTENTIAL HAZARDS, REMOVING BLIGHTS ON THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT, AND BOLSTERING THE INTEGRITY OF TERRESTRIAL ECOSYSTEMS. THIS WORK WILL DIRECTLY ENHANCE THE EXPERIENCE AND SAFETY OF PARK VISITORS ENGAGED IN OUTDOOR RECREATION SUCH AS HIKING, CAMPING, AND WILDLIFE VIEWING. MITIGATION OF PUBLIC SAFETY HAZARDS, PRESERVATION OF THE SPECIFIED ABANDONED MINE SITES, AND MAINTENANCE OF HABITAT FOR BATS AND OTHER WILDLIFE IS THE PUBLIC PURPOSE AND GOAL OF THIS TASK.
