Description
Project statement the primary goal of this project is to provide quality education and interpretive presentations about the overmountain victory trail and the american revolution to the public and school children on a year-round basis. The funds of this task agreement will be used by the overmountain victory trail association (ovta) to provide direct educational programming throughout the 330-mile corridor of the overmountain victory national historic trail (ovnht) across four states (virginia, tennessee, north carolina, south carolina) and support the numerous trail towns, gateway communities, and educational organizations that otherwise would not have the support of the ovnht. This agreement is specifically targeted to ensure that this programming sharing the story of the trail and highlighting its recreational opportunities is available to these communities throughout the calendar year and not limited to only a specific time of year.
