This federal Cooperative Agreement award of $166,000 from the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) under the Soil and Water Conservation Program (CFDA 10.902) will enable the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) to offer its GROW MORE and Conservation Champions programs across South Carolina. These programs train conservation practitioners and farmer leaders to incorporate social science understandings of behavior change into efforts to encourage their farmer clients and neighbors to adopt agricultural conservation practices. The project period runs from September 9, 2024 to July 14, 2027. NWF, a prominent non-profit conservation organization, will leverage its expertise in environmental conservation, education, and community engagement to deliver technical assistance, educational programs, and collaborative restoration projects that support sustainable land management and wildlife habitat conservation in South Carolina.
