The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) awarded a $1.733 million Cooperative Agreement to The Trust For Tomorrow, a non-profit organization, under the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP), CFDA 10.931. Through this multi-year award, The Trust For Tomorrow will provide technical and financial assistance to support ACEP-Wetland Reserve Easement (ACEP-WRE) program participants in the planning, development, implementation, stewardship, management, repair, and additional restoration activities on their conserved lands. Key services include conducting landowner outreach, assessing properties for program eligibility, restoring degraded wetlands, managing hydrology, revegetation, developing conservation plans, and assisting program participants with conservation practices. The Trust For Tomorrow will also rehabilitate previously restored easements through enhancement activities such as constructing new structures. This cooperative agreement, effective from Sep 27, 2023 to Sep 11, 2028, supports NRCS's efforts to restore, protect, and enhance wetlands, grasslands, and agricultural lands through partnerships with non-federal entities across multiple states.
