THE CHESTER COUNTY WATER FELLOWS INITIATIVE IS A THREE-YEAR PROFESSIONAL LEARNING PROGRAM THAT SUPPORTS K12 TEACHERS IN BECOMING ENVIRONMENTAL LITERACY LEADERS ACROSS CHESTER COUNTYS DELAWARE BAY WATERSHED DISTRICTS. DEVELOPED IN RESPONSE TO EDUCATOR AND DISTRICT NEEDS, THE PROGRAM PROVIDES HIGH-QUALITY PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOCUSED ON PLACE-BASED LEARNING, LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES, AND CURRICULUM DESIGN. FELLOWS ENGAGE WITH ENVIRONMENTAL AND CONTENT EXPERTS TO CREATE STANDARDS-ALIGNED, LOCALLY RELEVANT CURRICULUM THAT INTEGRATES THE MWEE FRAMEWORK, SYSTEMS THINKING, AND LOCAL PHENOMENA.
