About this award

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is providing a $900,000 Cooperative Agreement award through the Office for Coastal Management (CFDA 11.473) to the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP). This funding will build the capacity of New Jersey's federally-approved Coastal Management Program to plan for and implement habitat restoration and conservation projects proposed through opportunities connected to the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Specifically, NJDEP will use the funds to support a Restoration Project Coordinator who will collaborate across programs and coordinate state restoration efforts, as well as develop and expand the Coastal Ecological Restoration and Adaptation Planning (CERAP) web tool to serve as a restoration project catalog. Additionally, the award will fund the planning, development, and implementation of two technical knowledge transfer workshops to further restoration efforts across the state. The award period is from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027.
