The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), through the Office for Coastal Management (CFDA 11.473), is providing $899,024 in federal funding to the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) under a 3-year Cooperative Agreement. This funding will build the capacity of Massachusetts' federally-approved Coastal Management Program to plan for and implement habitat restoration and conservation projects proposed through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL). Specifically, EEA will use these funds to continue managing four current BIL projects, advance new BIL projects, create a new term position to develop evaluation metrics/framework for BIL projects, and administer a contract to pilot the evaluation framework on a chosen BIL project. The award period is from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027.
