Description

The national fish and wildlife foundation (nfwf) proposes a new agreement with the national oceanic and atmospheric administration (NOAA) to advance our mutual goals and update our existing partnership to help NOAA meet the requirements laid out in the coral reef conservation act of 2000 as amended and reauthorized in law (PL 117-223). We propose a comprehensive partnership for coral conservation to be administered primarily through the following four activities: 1. Coral reef conservation and recovery through the coral reef stewardship fund to support coral reef stewardship activities that are consistent with coral reef conservation program and nfwf strategic plans as well as action strategies when available; 2. Continue to assist NOAA in the administration of emergency and disaster relief funding as directed; 3. Establish a coral reef disasters fund to support the long-term recovery of coral reefs from exigent circumstances; and 4. Nfwf staff support for coral conservation pro
