The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana (CRCL) will restore nearly 30,000 acres of marsh habitat in Orleans and St. Bernard Parishes in Louisiana through a $715,256 cooperative agreement from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) under the Habitat Conservation program (CFDA 11.463). Over three years, CRCL will engage the local community in habitat restoration efforts and provide skills training and hands-on experience in coastal restoration. As the primary recipient, CRCL has also worked on shoreline creation and oyster reef restoration as a subrecipient on projects with Restore America's Estuaries and the Gulf of Mexico Community-Based Restoration Partnership regional network. The NOAA Habitat Conservation program aims to support coastal and marine habitat restoration through grants and cooperative agreements.
