THIS PROJECT WILL DEVELOP AND IMPLEMENT TEACHER WORKSHOPS TO TRAIN FIVE TEACHERS TO BRING BACK INQUIRY-BASED CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES TO THEIR GRADE LEVEL CLASSROOMS. TEACHERS AND STUDENTS (125 STUDENTS FROM GRADE 5 THROUGH 8) WILL ENGAGE IN FIELD EXPERIENCES THAT PROMOTE INFORMED DECISION-MAKING AND DEVELOP AN AWARENESS OF STEWARDSHIP ACTS THAT WILL POSITIVELY IMPACT THE LOCAL ROOSTER RIVER WATERSHED. THESE EXPERIENCES WILL GUIDE STUDENT EXPLORATION ON HOW POLLUTANTS AND HUMAN ACTIVITIES WITHIN THE WATERSHED CAN IMPACT CLIMATE AND WATER QUALITY.
