Description

Activities
The project involves food web modeling in rpath (an open-source package developed by NOAA), and the manipulation and analysis of these food web models. Specifically, by integrating two extant open-source R packages to facilitate computation of ecosystem indicators and reference points enabling modeling of how an ecosystem's resilience and efficiency are impacted by variation in species-level parameter values. Retrospective time-series fitting will identify past trends in the gulf of maine ecosystem indicators; prospective analysis will describe how various climate- and management-driven species-level shifts might alter properties of the future gulf. Ecological network analysis will be used to quantify emergent ecosystem properties. Ecosense, a simplified bayesian synt
