STATEMENT OF NEED: THIS PROJECT IS A COLLABORATION BETWEEN ROCKY MOUNTAIN YOUTH CORPS AND THE BUREAU OF LAND MANAGEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH MASTER AGREEMENT L20AM00266. THIS PROJECT WORK WILL CONSIST OF TWO PRIMARY SECTIONS: TWIN PEAKS EROSION CONTROL AND KELLY CANON WATERSHED RESTORATION. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PRIORITIES OF THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR, THIS PROJECT SEEKS TO REDUCE DEFERRED MAINTENANCE, PROVIDE COMMON SENSE MANAGEMENT OF AMERICAS LAND AND WATER RESOURCES FOR A VARIETY OF USER GROUPS, AND CREATE WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES FOR AMERICAN YOUTH. GOALS OBJECTIVES: THIS ESSENTIAL WORK SEEKS TO REDUCE DEFERRED MAINTENANCE COSTS TO THE SOCORRO FIELD OFFICE OF THE BLM THROUGH STABILIZATION OF LAND AND WATER RESOURCES THROUGH THE SOCORRO FIELD OFFICE AND ENSURE A MANAGEMENT STYLE THAT WILL BENEFIT A WIDE RANGE OF AMERICAN USER GROUPS.
