The Arizona Association of Conservation Districts Inc. (AACD) received a $140,000 Cooperative Agreement from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) under the Rangeland Resource Management program (CFDA 15.237), effective September 16, 2025, through September 15, 2030. The program leverages AACD's proprietary ConserveAZ Portal—a collaborative multi-agency data platform developed with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS)—to unify resource data for conservation planning. Building on documented accomplishments since 2010, including 36 completed conservation plans, treatment of 43,598 acres of rangeland and forest land, 23,459 acres of pre-treatment monitoring, removal of 58,090 tons of biomass, and completion of 12,000 acres of cultural resource surveys, AACD will continue supporting conservation practices addressing grazing management, soils management, invasive species control, and other range management treatments. The award leverages AACD's established relationships with local producers, BLM state and field offices, the U.S. Forest Service (USFS), NRCS, state and county governments, and other stakeholders to deliver locally led conservation initiatives aligned with BLM priorities and budgets.Cooperative Agreement Summary
