Description

This regulation does not exclude lands administered by the BLM in uinta county and surrounding areas. Uinta county is comprised of approximately 1,335,000 acres of those over 1,180,000 acres are rangeland, comprised of BLM, private, state, and forest service. Invasive species control and survey on rangelands are critical to habitat protection for wildlife and livestock. The sagebrush step in uinta county contains native species that are a key component to the health of the ecosystem. Treatments and monitoring may protect existing vegetation, limit spread of invasive species, decrease the potential for wildfire on the existing range, and maintain an esthetic, BIO-diverse ecosystem.
