About this award
Uinta County Weed & Pest Control District (County of Uinta) received a $230,150 Cooperative Agreement from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Wyoming Region under the Good Neighbor Authority (GNA) program (CFDA 15.015), effective September 30, 2025 through September 30, 2030. The awardee will deliver invasive plant species control and fuels management services on BLM-managed lands in Wyoming through a collaboratively structured partnership. Key deliverables include cooperative development and design of treatment units with BLM staff, completion of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance requirements, preparation and approval of work specifications and project maps, selection and management of restoration service contracts, inspection and evaluation of contracted work, and ongoing monitoring of treatment effectiveness. The awardee will also conduct annual pre- and post-season reporting and prioritization meetings with BLM staff to discuss accomplishments and upcoming treatments, with all units of accomplishment reported through the BLM Integrated Federal Project Reporting System (IFPRS).
The GNA program facilitates partnerships between federal and state, county, and tribal entities to implement ecosystem restoration projects, including hazardous fuels reduction, invasive species management, forest management, and riparian restoration across federal, non-federal, and tribal lands. Awards under this program are structured as multi-year cooperative agreements with BLM providing substantial involvement in project oversight, implementation, and evaluation. All GNA projects are funded on a year-by-year basis contingent upon annual performance evaluation and merit review by the BLM State Director, with no commitment made to fund projects beyond one year.
