BAKER COUNTY WILL SPRAY WEEDS ON BLM LANDS ALONG COUNTY ROADS RIGHTS-OF-WAY. THIS IS A PRO-ACTIVE MEASURE TO REDUCE WEED SPREAD BY UNVARYING TREATMENT ACROSS OWNERSHIP BOUNDARIES. CONTROLLING WEEDS PROMOTES SAFETY BY MAINTAINING SIGHTLINES ON CURVED ROADS. REDUCING WEEDS ON ROAD SHOULDERS RIGHTS-OF-WAY AUGMENTS ROADS AS WILDLAND FIRE CONTROL STRUCTURES. THE PROJECT AREA IS THE ENTIRETY OF BAKER COUNTY ALONG BLM ROADS. THE MAJORITY OF BAKER COUNTY LIES WITHIN THE POWDER BASIN WATERSHED THAT INCLUDES THE POWDER RIVER, BURNT RIVER, AND BROWNLEE RESERVOIR.
