ENLC WILL PARTNER WITH BLM TO CONDUCT CHEMICAL CONTROL (AND OTHER CONTROL METHODS AS NEEDED) FOR SIX PRIORITY TARGET INVASIVE AND NOXIOUS SPECIES (DYERS WOAD ISATIS TINCTORIA, RUSSIAN KNAPWEED ACROPTILON REPENS, SPOTTED KNAPWEED CENTAUREA STOEBE, HOARY CRESS SHORT WHITE TOP LEPIDIUM DRABA, CANADA THISTLE CIRSIUM ARVENSE, AND LEAFY SPURGE EUPHORBIA ESULA). IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUSLY OUTLINED SPECIES, AN INFESTATION OF SQUARROSE KNAPWEED (CENTAUREA VIRGATA VAR. SQUARROSA) HAS BEEN DOCUMENTED IN THE GOSHUTE RANGE THAT IS ADJACENT TO THE ELY BLM DISTRICT BOUNDARY. ENLC WILL ASSIST THE BLM IN INVENTORYING, TREATING AND MONITORING (IF NECESSARY) THE SQUARROSE KNAPWEED INFESTATIONS IF THEY MOVE INTO THE DISTRICT BOUNDARIES, AS WELL AS OTHER NOXIOUS AND NON-NATIVE NUISANCE SPECIES AS NEEDED.
