APPLICATION OF HERBICIDE, SEEDING, AND STABILIZING SOILS WITHIN AREAS AFFECTED BY WILDFIRE AND INVASIVE SPECIES WILL BE PERFORMED AS A PART OF THIS PROJECT WITHIN THE 2022 CHERRY GULCH FIRE, OR WITHIN SEVERAL PROJECT AREAS IDENTIFIED IN RECENT DETERMINATION OF NEPA ADEQUACY CLEARANCES, INCLUDING THE SONOMA RANGE, DOUBLE H MOUNTAINS, HOT SPRINGS, SLUMBERING HILLS AND BLOODY RUNS. SUCH ACTIVITIES MAY INCLUDE: POST-FIRE BURNED AREA REHABILITATION, AERIAL AND GROUND HERBICIDE APPLICATION, AERIAL AND GROUND SEED APPLICATION, NOXIOUS WEED AND INVASIVE SPECIES TREATMENTS, FUELS REDUCTION, FUEL BREAKS, BROWN STRIPS, GREEN STRIPS, OR OTHER SIMILAR RESTORATION ACTIVITIES AND MONITORING. IT IS EXPECTED THAT A MINIMUM OF 3,000 ACRES OF TREATMENTS WOULD BE COMPLETED HOWEVER PENDING MATCH AND PARTNER CONTRIBUTIONS, UP TO 4,500 ACRES ARE PROPOSED FOR TREATMENT. THESE TREATMENTS WILL BE AIMED AT REDUCING FUELS RISK AND IMPROVING RANGELAND AND WILDLIFE HABITAT RESISTANCE, RESILIENCE, AND ECOLOGICAL INTEGRITY.
