COOS COUNTY NOXIOUS WEED CONTROL DISTRICT ADVISORY BOARD (NWAB) HAS BEEN WORKING WITH PROPERTY OWNERS TO CONTROL AND ERADICATE NOXIOUS WEEDS COUNTYWIDE SINCE 2008. THIS PROJECT AIMS TO THE NWAB SEEKS TO CONTINUE THE MISSION TO FIGHT THE INTRODUCTION AND SPREAD OF NOXIOUS WEEDS IN COOS COUNTY THROUGH THEIR COST SHARE AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS. THIS PROJECT WILL SUPPORT THE COST SHARE PARTNERSHIP AND ALLOW THE WEED BOARD TO IMPLEMENT EDUCATIONAL EVENTS FOR THE COUNTY. THE COST SHARE PROGRAM HAS BEEN POPULAR AND SERVES 60-70 PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS, WATERSHEDS AND HAS ASSISTED BOTH STATE AND FEDERAL ENTITIES WITH HERBICIDES FOR SPECIAL PROJECTS. PARTNERSHIPS ARE THE KEY TO CONTROL AND ERADICATION OF NOXIOUS WEEDS. PILOT PROGRAMS HELP WITH THE EDUCATIONAL ASPIRATIONS OF THE COST SHARE PROGRAM.
