The Clark County Desert Conservation Program will receive $3.763 million through a Cooperative Agreement award from the Department of the Interior Bureau of Land Management Nevada Region to carry out restoration of linear disturbances in the Piute-Eldorado Area of Critical Environmental Concern. Funded under the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act program, the DCP will improve habitat conditions for the desert tortoise and other wildlife through restoration activities in the ACEC from November 2022 through November 2027. As the primary awardee, Clark County will implement restoration through its Desert Conservation Program division.
