NORTHEASTERN TRIBAL HEALTH SYSTEM (NTHS), SPECIAL DIABETES PROGRAM FOR INDIANS (SDPI), DIABETES SELF MANAGEMENT AND HEALTH PROMOTION DISEASE PREVENTION PROJECT - NORTHEASTERN TRIBAL HEALTH SYSTEM (NTHS) SPECIAL DIABETES PROGRAM FOR INDIANS (SDPI) IS A CLINIC BASED PROGRAM THAT INCLUDES A COMMUNITY FOCUS. THE DIABETES EDUCATION PROGRAM IS ACCREDITED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF DIABETES CARE AND EDUCATION SPECIALIST AND THREE OF THE FOUR EDUCATORS ARE CERTIFIED DIABETES CARE AND EDUCATION SPECIALIST. IN ADDITION TO EDUCATION, FOOT EXAMS AND JOSLIN VISION NETWORK (JVN) EYE EXAMS ARE PROVIDED AT THE PROGRAM.
