THEY WILL SELECT SITES AND SET UP WEB SERVICES TO BECOME A WATER-LEVEL NETWORK DATA TO THE NGWMN.DURING THIS PROJECT THE MWA WILL SET UP WEB SERVICES IN ORDER TO SERVE THEIR DATA TO THE NGWMN DATA PORTAL. THEY WILL DEVELOP SITE SELECTION AND CLASSIFICATION CRITERIA FOR CANDIDATE SITES AND THEN USE THESE CRITERIA TO SELECT AND CLASSIFY SITES FOR THE NGWMN. THEY WILL ADD METADATA FOR THE NEW SITES TO THE NGWMN MONITORING LOCATION REGISTRY. THE FUNDING FOR THE ONE-YEAR PROJECT IS $128,800.00.AS PART OF THE PROJECT THE MWA WILL: 1) POPULATE THE NGWMN MONITORING LOCATION REGISTRY WILL SELECTED SITES, 2) SET UP WEB SERVICES TO DELIVER DATA TO THE NGWMN DATA PORTAL, AND 3) PRODUCE A FINAL REPORT DOCUMENTING ALL WORK ACCOMPLISHED DURING THE PROJECT.THE BENEFICIARIES OF THE WORK WILL BE THE: MOJAVE WATER AGENCY, WATER USERS WITHIN THE MOJAVE AREA, AND USERS OF THE NATIONAL GROUND-WATER MONITORING NETWORK.IN ADDITION TO WORK PERFORMED BY MWA STAFF, SOME OF THE PROJECT FUNDS ARE FOR SUBRECIPIENTS.
