The Department of Agriculture Foreign Agricultural Service awarded a $40.406 million Cooperative Agreement to Partners Of The Americas, Inc. on September 23, 2025, under the McGovern-Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Program (CFDA 10.608). The award funds preschool and school food for education programs, maternal and infant nutrition initiatives, teacher training, and related support activities in Honduras through September 30, 2031. The program aims to improve food security, reduce hunger, boost school enrollment, and advance literacy and primary education, particularly for girls, while supporting nutrition for pregnant women, nursing mothers, infants, and children age five and younger in eligible countries. Partners Of The Americas, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit with extensive experience administering federal grants across multiple agencies, serves as the recipient implementing the McGovern-Dole objectives in Honduras. The cooperative agreement structure reflects the program's typical 3–5 year implementation periods and contemplates Partners Of The Americas' capacity to deliver complex, multi-sector international development activities across the Western Hemisphere.
