THIS COLLABORATION BETWEEN ROCKY MOUNTAIN YOUTH CORPS AND VALLE DE ORO NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE WILL CONNECT YOUTH AND YOUNG ADULTS FROM THE ALBUQUERQUE AND MIDDLE RIO GRANDE VALLEY COMMUNITY WITH MEANINGFUL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT AND CONSERVATION OPPORTUNITIES. ENGAGED PARTICIPANTS WILL WORK ON A VARIETY OF PROJECTS AIMED AT DEVELOPING CAREER SKILLS WHILE ASSISTING AND ADDING CAPACITY TO VALLE DE ORO STAFF. PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ENGAGED IN MEANINGFUL WORK THAT WILL BENEFIT BOTH THE REFUGE AND THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITY WHILE PROVIDING CLARITY AROUND EMPLOYMENT PATHWAYS FOR PARTICIPANTS AFTER THEY HAVE COMPLETED THIS WORK.
