Description

Provide fish passage to high priority salmon species by replacing priority culverts that are currently fish passage barriers with properly sized and engineered structures allowing passage for all life stages of priority salmon species. These sites provide seasonal rearing habitat for juvenile salmon species. The culverts will be designed and constructed to current USFWS fish passage standards that mimic natural stream characteristics. Stream crossings will be designed, constructed, and maintained to provide proper hydrologic functioning of the water body they are crossing, including connectivity of wetlands and riparian areas adjacent to stream channels to the greatest extent possible. The outcome of this project will protect and improve salmon populations for future generations of americans.
