Description
The latah soil and water conservation district swcd proposes to work cooperatively with the U.S. Fish and wildlife service service to restore degraded upland stream meadow wetland and riparian habitats on private lands in latah county for the benefit of native salmonids migratory birds pollinators and rare sensitive plants. These efforts will reduce threats to priority habitats and species identified for the clearwater focus area in the region 1 partners for fish and wildlife strategic plan. The latah swcd will help the PFW biologist develop and implement restoration projects on private lands in coordination with other federal tribal state and nonprofit organizations. Without this agreement to facilitate restoration strategic habitat conservation planning and implementation will be less effective and more costly at biologically and ecologically relevant scales.
