Description

The springs are degraded from the overgrazing and pollution of trespass feral horses and cattle. An exclosure fence will be installed around each spring to minimize trespasser access. Over time, the reduced grazing pressure should allow the springs to recover their proper functioning condition (PFC) potential and thus maximize the ecosystem services (including drought resiliency) provided to local migratory wildlife and the tribe. This project is the next step to current projects or activities aimed at protecting the reservations springs.
