About this award
Under a $250,000.00 Cooperative Agreement awarded by the U.S. Department of the Interior Fish and Wildlife Service Region 1, the Cascade Columbia Fisheries Enhancement Group (CCFEG), doing business as Cascade Fisheries, will correct one (1) fish passage barrier to improve access to 1.45 miles of cold-water habitat for endangered fish species, including bull trout. Additionally, CCFEG will place locally sourced wood in up to 1 mile of Pole Creek to enhance instream complexity. This work is funded under the National Fish Passage program (CFDA 15.685), which aims to restore native fish and aquatic species by reconnecting fragmented habitats. As a non-profit organization, CCFEG has extensive experience implementing habitat restoration projects and delivering science education programs focused on salmon, watersheds, and environmental stewardship.
