(GULF PARTNERSHIP) HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTING A PROJECT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM THAT PROVIDES SMALL CATALYST GRANTS TO REGIONAL CONSERVATION ORGANIZATIONS, WHICH IN TURN ALLOWS FOR THE LEVERAGING OF OTHER PARTNERS FUNDING SOURCES TO BUILD REGIONAL CAPACITY FOR CONSERVATION. THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES UP-FRONT DUE DILIGENCE FOR THE ACQUISITION EASEMENT OF GULF CONSERVATION LANDS THAT ALIGN WITH REGIONAL PARTNER PRIORITIES AND THE STRATEGIC CONSERVATION VISION MAPPING TOOL TO PERMANENTLY PROTECT FISH AND WILDLIFE SPECIES AND THEIR CRITICAL HABITATS ACROSS THE GULF COAST.SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 2014, THE GULF PARTNERSHIP AWARDED 414,000 AND LEVERAGED NEARLY 87,000,000 IN MATCH SUPPORT, WHERE ADDITIONAL FUNDING WILL HAVE THE ABILITY TO SERVE AS A FURTHER CATALYST FOR REGIONAL CONSERVATION. THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, THE GULF PARTNERSHIP AIMS TO PROTECT AN ADDITIONAL 200 ACRES, LEVERAGING LIMITED CONSERVATION DOLLARS WHILE WORKING COLLECTIVELY WITH REGIONAL PARTNERS TO IDENTIFY, DEVELOP, AND IMPLEMENT PROJECTS AT A LANDSCAPE LEVEL FOR BROADER CONSERVATION IMPACT.
