Description
This stream-spanning concrete DAM blocks or impedes adult and juvenile fish passage to over 25 miles of spawning and rearing habitat. Impacted species stocks include fall chinook salmon, coho salmon, summer and winter steelhead (rainbow trout), cutthroat trout, klamath smallscale suckers, and pacific lamprey. Lovelace DAM is ranked in group 2 of odfw s 2019 statewide fish passage priority list and serves no water supply, flood control, or hydropower purpose. IT does not comply with NOAA or odfw fish passage criteria.through this project, we will work with partners to remove lovelace DAM and substantially improve passage conditions for all species and all life stages of migratory aquatic animals to 25 miles of habitat.
