The Department of Energy Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy awarded Conovate Inc. a $1.05 million Cooperative Agreement on June 1, 2026, under the Conservation Research and Development program (CFDA 81.086).
Conovate will establish manufacturing capability for its proprietary ECOPHITE composite material containing graphene monoxide. The company previously scaled the material from nanogram discovery to gram level for characterization and testing; this award funds the next scale-up phase to enable rapid response to customer validation requests and support larger production volumes. Work is performed in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin through May 31, 2028.
