THE SOUTHEAST ENERGY EFFICIENCY ALLIANCE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ESTABLISHED MANUFACTURING ENERGY PERFORMANCE TRAINING ORGANIZATIONS, WILL PROVIDE A TRAINING FRAMEWORK, GUIDANCE, TECHNICAL RESOURCES AND TOOLS TO MANUFACTURERS, STATE AGENCIES, INDUSTRIAL ASSESSMENT CENTERS, UTILITIES, AND OTHERS IN THE MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY TO EFFECTIVELY TRAIN AND EDUCATE THE MANUFACTURING ENERGY MANAGEMENT WORKFORCE. THIS PROJECT WILL ASSESS THE STATE OF PRACTICE FOR EMIS TRAINING IDENTIFYING TRAINING GAPS AND BARRIERS TO MARKET ADOPTION AND DEVELOP RESPONSIVE CURRICULUM TAILORED TO THE NEEDS OF SMART MANUFACTURING STAKEHOLDERS. THE PROJECT TEAM WILL PROVIDE EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE RESOURCES TO MANUFACTURING STAKEHOLDERS IN THE TARGET STATES. THE PROJECT WILL ALSO ASSESS THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE PILOT TRAINING WITH RECOMMENDATIONS FOR ENHANCEMENT AND SCALING. THE INDUSTRY NEEDS ASSESSMENT COUPLED WITH PILOT INNOVATIONS, TESTING AND REFINEMENT WILL YIELD MEANINGFUL IMPACTS WITHIN THE SCOPE OF THE PROJECT BUT ALSO INFORM DOE TRAJECTORY FOR CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT FOR YEARS TO COME. ADDITIONALLY, BY ENGAGING KEY REGIONAL ACTORS IN SEO'S, UTILITIES, AND THE IAC NETWORK, AND FURTHER EXPANDING AND ENABLING THEIR SERVICES AND ENGAGEMENT WITH SMALL TO MEDIUM MANUFACTURERS, THIS PROJECT WILL SUPPORT BROAD REGIONAL REACH AND CONTINUED IMPACT BEYOND THE LIFE OF THE PILOT PROJECT.
