ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: THIS COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT FUNDS THE STATE TO PERFORM AUDITS, COMPLIANCE REVIEWS, AND OTHER INVESTIGATIONS IN COORDINATION WITH ONRR. IN DOING SO, THE STATE ADHERES TO ALL APPLICABLE FEDERAL LAWS, LEASE TERMS, THE CODE OF FEDERAL REGULATIONS, NOTICES TO LESSEES, AND DULY PROMULGATED RULES AND REGULATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR IN THE CONDUCT OF ITS AUDITS AND OR INVESTIGATIONS ON FEDERAL LEASES. THE WORKPLANS AND WORK PROGRESS COMPLETION IS MONITORED CLOSELY BY THE ONRR PROGRAM AND ADJUSTED AS NECESSARY FOR OPTIMUM OUTCOMES.INTENDED BENEFICIARIES: THE GENERAL PUBLIC BENEFITS DIRECTLY AND INDIRECTLY FROM THE PROPOSED PROJECT, IN SUPPORT OF THE ONRR PROGRAMS MISSION. ONRR COLLECTS, ACCOUNTS FOR, VERIFIES, AND DISBURSES ENERGY AND MINERAL REVENUES. THEY MANAGE AND ENSURE FULL PAYMENT OF REVENUES OWED FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE NATIONS ENERGY AND MINERAL RESOURCES. EVERY AMERICAN BENEFITS FROM THE REVENUES COLLECTED. THESE CONTRIBUTIONS FUND THE HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND, THE LAND AND WATER CONSERVATION FUND, THE RECLAMATION FUND, STATE AND COUNTY GOVERNMENTS, AND THE U.S. TREASURY.
