TO PREVENT ARTIFICIAL MOVEMENT, THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE (USDA), ANIMAL AND PLANT HEALTH INSPECTION SERVICE (APHIS) REGULATES THE MOVEMENT OF ARTICLES THAT PRESENT A RISK OF SPREADING THE IFA TO AREAS NOT CURRENTLY INFESTED. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: ANNUALLY VISIT ALL ESTABLISHMENTS SHIPPING OUT OF STATE TO PLACE OR MAINTAIN REGULATED ESTABLISHMENTS UNDER COMPLIANCE AGREEMENTS, AS APPLICABLE. ISSUE/ REVIEW/ REVOKE COMPLIANCE AGREEMENTS AS NECESSARY. INSPECT COMMODITIES/PREMISES. OBSERVE/MONITORY REGULATORY TREATMENTS. ISSUE/ REVIEW/ REVOKE COMPLIANCE AGREEMENTS AS NECESSARY. DETERMINE THE MOVEMENT (ENTRY) STATUS OF REGULATED AND NON-REGULATED ARTICLES. FACILITATE THE MOVEMENT OF NURSERY STOCK AND OTHER REGULATED ARTICLES FROM REGULATE TO NON-REGULATED AREAS. TAKE REGULATORY ACTION WHEN IFA IS DETECTED ON ARTICLES BOUND TO BE SHIPPED OUTSIDE OF THE QUARANTINE AREA. THEREBY REDUCING THE SPREAD/MOVEMENT OF IMPORTED FIRE ANT TO OTHER AREAS.
