AWARD PURPOSE: THE PURPOSE OF THIS AGREEMENT IS TO COLLECT WHEAT GRAIN SAMPLES DURING HARVEST FROM ELEVATORS IN WHEAT PRODUCTION AREAS OF IDAHO. ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED: COLLECTED REPRESENTATIVE GRAIN SAMPLES FROM GRAIN STORAGE FACILITIES IN IDAHO WILL BE SENT AND TESTED BY THE PPQ LAB IN ARIZONA. DELIVERABLES AND EXPECTED OUTCOMES: PROGRESS REPORTS AND LAB RESULTS FOR GRAIN SURVEY SAMPLES TO IDENTIFY ISSUES OR CONCERNS IN THE INDUSTRY AND A FINAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT. APPROXIMATELY 60 SAMPLES FROM UP TO 19 COUNTIES WILL BE COLLECTED FOR ANALYSIS IN THE THIRD AND FOURTH QUARTERS. NEGATIVE RESULTS ALLOW THE GRAIN CAN BE CERTIFIED AS FREE FROM KARNAL BUNT AND SHIPPED WITHIN THE U.S. AND INTERNATIONAL MARKETS.
