THE PURPOSE OF THIS AGREEMENT IS TO PROVIDE NEW MEXICO LIVESTOCK BOARD THE MEANS TO ENHANCE TRACEABILITY IN NEW MEXICO. THE ACTIVITIES OF THIS AWARD WILL BE CONDUCTED BY NEW MEXICO LIVESTOCK BOARD (NMLB). NEW MEXICO LIVESTOCK BOARD WILL WORK IN CONJUNCTION WITH USDA APHIS VS TO IMPLEMENT RAPID, ACCURATE TRACING BOTH IN-STATE AND OUT-OFSTATE. THE GOAL OF THIS AWARD IS TO CONDUCT AND IMPROVEMENT OF ANIMAL DISEASE TRACEABILITY TO ENHANCE ANIMAL HEALTH MANAGEMENT AND CONTAINMENT OF POTENTIALLY INFECTIOUS DISEASES.
