Description

The core team for this agreement was instrumental in developing "prepare 2 respond" (P2R) program in 2022. During the development of the three learning modules that were created for disease mitigation, we realized that communications was a shortfall and needed attention. Expansion of P2R the dynamic outreach educational effort with a communications module that will provide fairs and expositions the tools needed to be effective communicators is paramount. The result a more positive perception to the disease outbreak response. Additionally, we will look at the existing learning management system and three modules, from an editorial approach and update and improve as needed. The initial installment of P2R was written in 2020 which means that updates need to be made as new information may be available. Lastly, this agreement will include a comprehensive promotion plan to share the information about the P2R expansion and update within the fairs, expositions, and animal health communities for dissemination. For the communications module the team will begin with subject matter experts (SME's) including fairs industry professionals, animal and public health officials, communication professionals, etc. In focus groups to determine priorities in the curriculum build. A group of selected SME's along with the core team will gather for a curriculum writing summit. At the end of the writing summit week will be a curriculum review for the existing modules to determine updates, additions, and modifications. Once developed and peer reviewed this will lead to the storyboard build which is the stagnant form of the web experience. Once reviewed and approved the learning experience will be uploaded onto the existing P2R platform as a new module. The core team will promote and share the program at national meetings and through other media outlets and with our partners. Training fair and exhibition management, employees, volunteers, and emergency response on an appropriate communications plan will create confidence in how emergency response is being executed.
