Description
- Purpose
- With this funding, more individuals will become aware of the issue of the invasive species pathway spread through recreational gear and equipment, and that they are responsible for preventing the spread of invasive plants and pests through cleaning boots and gear before leaving an outdoor recreation spot. Playcleango messaging aims to change the behavior of recreationists to clean their boots and other gear before entering or leaving the trail, campsite, or other outdoor area. By incorporating invasive species prevention measures, outdoor recreationists will help protect natural areas from the spread of invasive species. Through engaging more partners from nonprofits, government agencies, and businesses nationally through the DON't move firewood and hungrypests campaigns, new opportunities for brand placement and messaging reach will expand the current reach. 2.
