Description

Abstract
In the southeastern united states, IT has been speculated that wild pigs are at least partially responsible for recent declines in eastern wild turkey populations. Research focused on understanding the impacts of wild pigs on spatial dynamics of eastern wild turkey, as well as continued monitoring of previous research designed to examine impacts of wild pigs on populations of eastern wild turkeys. The continued monitoring will take place with previously studied populations and will involve biannual population surveys using camera traps for both wild pigs and eastern wild turkeys. This effort is designed to examine how turkey populations respond to cessation of wild PIG control efforts and better understand the timing and degree of population change following this cessation.
