About this award
This cooperative agreement from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) provided $4,500,000 to Creative Associates International Inc. to support the Youth Challenge Program (YCP) in Guatemala from April 18, 2008 to December 31, 2009. The goal of the YCP program was to prevent and reduce the risk of youth entering or continuing into a life of crime by providing support services through USAID's broader Foreign Assistance for Programs Overseas initiative. The place of performance for this grant was Guatemala, where the funded organization would implement programming to help at-risk youth avoid criminal behavior and develop productive alternatives through the two-year period of the award.
