DESCRIPTION:THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES FUNDING TO THE CITY OF SLATER, MISSOURI TO IMPLEMENT ITS PROJECT FOR WELL PROTECTION AS DIRECTED IN THE 2022 CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT.ACTIVITIES:THE ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED ARE TO UPGRADE AND RENOVATE THE EXISTING NARROW ACCESS ROAD TO THE CITY'S WATER SUPPLY WELLS. WATER SUPPLY WELL #8 WILL ALSO BE MODIFIED TO INCLUDE A PROPANE GENERATOR WITH SECURITY FENCE AND LP TANK TO MAINTAIN ELECTRICAL SERVICE DURING POTENTIAL OUTAGES. THE PORTION OF THE EXISTING ROAD TO REACH WATER SUPPLY #8 WILL BE RAISED WITH COMPACTED FILL AND RESURFACED WITH AGGREGATE TO MATCH THE ELEVATION OF THE EXISTING ACCESS ROAD FOR WATER SUPPLY #6. THE ENTIRE ACCESS ROAD FOR WATER SUPPLY WELLS NUMBER 6 AND 8 WILL BE WIDENED BY THREE FEET AND WILL REQUIRE ADDITIONAL EARTHEN FILL. THE EXISTING ACCESS ROAD TO WATER SUPPLY WELL #7 WILL ALSO BE SURFACED WITH AGGREGATE.SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE ANTICIPATED DELIVERABLES ARE TO PROVIDE FOR ACCESS ROAD IMPROVEMENTS AND A PROPANE GENERATOR TO PROVIDE FOR CONTINUED OPERATION DURING ELECTRICAL OUTAGES, WHICH ARE EXPECTED TO LEAD TO MAINTAIN ADEQUATE ACCESS AND RELIABLE OPERATION OF THE WATER SUPPLY WELLS WHILE PROVIDING SAFE AND RELIABLE DRINKING WATER FOR THE 1834 RESIDENTS OF SLATER, MISSOURI.
