DESCRIPTION:THIS AGREEMENT PROVIDES FUNDING TO BOROUGH OF CLIFFSIDE PARK TO IMPLEMENT ITS PROJECT TO EXPAND THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM ON AND AROUND OAKDENE AVENUE AS DIRECTED IN THE 2023 CONSOLIDATED APPROPRIATIONS ACT OR AS IDENTIFIED IN AN APPROVED TECHNICAL CORRECTION IF ONE HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR THIS PROJECT.ACTIVITIES:THE ACTIVITIES TO BE PERFORMED INCLUDES THE EXCAVATION OF ROADWAY, SOIL AND BEDROCK, ON OREGON AVENUE, BETWEEN GREENMOUNT AVENUE AND OAKDENE AVENUE, INCLUDING THE INTERSECTIONS AT GREENMOUNT AVENUE, AND AT OAKDENE AVENUE, TO A SUFFICIENT SIZE ALLOWING PROPER INSTALLATION OF STORMWATER PIPE AND STRUCTURES. A 950 L.F. 15-INCH PVC STORMWATER PIPE WILL BE INSTALLED ON OREGON AVENUE, STARTING AT GREENMOUNT AVENUE THEN CONTINUING TO OAKDENE AVENUE. AN 80 L.F. 30-INCH PVC STORMWATER PIPE WILL BE INSTALLED ON OREGON AVENUE CONTINUING ON OAKDENE AVENUE TO CONNECT INTO THE EXISTING STORMWATER DRAINAGE SYSTEM. TWO, 48-INCH STORMWATER MANHOLES WILL BE INSTALLED: ONE AT THE INTERSECTION OF OREGON AVENUE AND GREENMOUNT AVENUE, AND ONE ON OREGON AVENUE. ONE, 60-INCH STORMWATER MANHOLE WILL BE INSTALLED AT THE INTERSECTION OF OREGON AVENUE AND OAKDENE AVENUE. NINE UNITS OF TYPE B INLETS WILL BE INSTALLED:4 UNITS AT THE INTERSECTION OF OREGON AVENUE AND GREENMOUNT AVENUE, 2 UNIT ON OREGON AVENUE, AND 3 UNITS AT THE INTERSECTION OF OREGON AVENUE AND OAKDENE AVENUE. AFTER INSTALLATION, THE AREA WILL BE BACKFILLED, COMPACTED, AND ROADWAY REPAIRED OF ANY EXCAVATIONS.SUBRECIPIENT:NO SUBAWARDS ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ASSISTANCE AGREEMENT.OUTCOMES:THE OAKDENE AVENUE STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT WILL IMPROVE CRITICAL SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE AND INCREASE ITS CURRENT LIMITED CAPACITY TO REDUCE FLOODING ISSUES WITHIN RESIDENTIAL HOMES AND ON ROADWAYS. THIS PROJECT WILL PREVENT POTENTIAL COSTLY EMERGENCY REPAIRS AND FIX THE PRESENT ISSUES CAUSED BY THE OUTDATED PIPES. BY COMPLETING THIS PROJECT, PUBLIC HEALTH CONDITIONS AND SAFETY WITHIN THE BOROUGH WILL BE IMPROVED.
