THIS PROJECT PROVIDES FUNDING FOR GROUNDWORK DENVER TO RECRUIT, TRAIN, AND PLACE UNEMPLOYED AND UNDEREMPLOYED RESIDENTS OF SHERIDAN, CO AND THE GREATER DENVER METRO AREA IN ENVIRONMENTAL CAREERS WITH SKILLS NEEDED TO SAFELY CONDUCT REMEDIATION WORK AT SOLID AND HAZARDOUS WASTE-CONTAMINATED SITES, AS WELL AS BUILDING SKILLS IN GREEN INFRASTRUCTURE (GI) DESIGN, IMPLEMENTATION, AND MANAGEMENT. THE PROGRAM WILL PROVIDE THREE, 4-5-WEEK LONG TRAINING SESSIONS FOR 12-15 PARTICIPANTS EACH THROUGHOUT THE PROJECT PERIOD.
