The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Children and Families awarded Bee Busy Learning Academy Inc. a $1.5 million Cooperative Agreement on September 30, 2025, under the Healthy Marriage Promotion and Responsible Fatherhood Grants program (CFDA 93.086) to implement the DREAMS (Decisions, Responsibility, Empowerment, Accountability, Motivation, Success) program.
Bee Busy Learning Academy will deliver healthy marriage and relationship education to high school students (grades 9–12) across eight YES Prep high schools in low-resource areas of Houston, Texas, spanning eight zip codes. The program uses the evidence-based Love Notes and Money Habitudes curricula to deliver 12 hours of primary workshops designed to help youth develop skills in healthy relationships, communication, conflict resolution, and financial literacy. Over the five-year project period ending September 29, 2030, the program will serve 1,400 youth who complete at least 90 percent of primary workshops.
Place of performance is Texas. Bee Busy Learning Academy Inc., a minority-owned nonprofit based in Houston, has been registered to receive federal awards since March 2006 and specializes in youth-focused educational and preventive health programs serving underserved Black and Hispanic youth from low-income families.
