Since its launch in 2014, NEICE has improved the accountability and speed of interstate placements, with 47 states now fully onboarded to the system. This continued federal partnership will enable APHSA to fully implement NEICE, which aligns with the Family First Prevention Services Act of 2018 mandate for all states to process interstate cases electronically by 2027.
