About this award
The Department of Health and Human Services Administration for Community Living awarded a $25.1685 million Cooperative Agreement to The Jewish Federations of North America on September 30, 2025, under the Special Programs for the Aging, Title IV, and Title II, Discretionary Projects program (CFDA 93.048).
The Jewish Federations will build on previous ACL grants to expand national capacity for person-centered, trauma-informed (PCTI) care services and supports for Holocaust survivors, older adults with a history of trauma, and their family caregivers. The recipient will deepen subgrants and technical assistance provided through a broad network of local and national agencies to advance PCTI care throughout the aging services network.
Expected products include new training resources on aging, trauma, and the PCTI approach in formats including journal articles, fact sheets, reports, webinars, and online and in-person course offerings. The Jewish Federations will develop an updated and streamlined website for a National Resource Center to house training resources and connect aging service practitioners to learning opportunities. The recipient will also produce a common evaluation strategy report featuring grant and subgrant impact, best practices, and recommendations for scaling and expanding PCTI services and support.
Objectives are to increase the number and type of PCTI services available to the target population and to increase resources and educational opportunities that build aging services providers' capacity to implement PCTI care. Anticipated outcomes include improved health and well-being of Holocaust survivors and older adults with trauma histories, and improved knowledge and capacity of aging services providers to implement PCTI care.
Place of performance is New York. The period of performance runs through September 29, 2028.
