About this award

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service awarded a $5,518,000 Cooperative Agreement to the National Forest Foundation (NFF) under the National Forest Foundation (CFDA 10.682) federal grant program. The award, with a performance period from July 2, 2024 to July 1, 2029, supports comprehensive conservation and stewardship activities on National Forest lands, including forest restoration, wildlife habitat enhancement, trail maintenance, invasive species removal, and community engagement. Through this Cooperative Agreement, NFF will provide technical assistance, facilitate stakeholder engagement, and distribute funding to nonprofit organizations and conservation corps to execute on-the-ground conservation efforts. Recent awards under this program have consistently involved the USDA Forest Service Washington Office Acquisitions and focused on engaging youth and volunteers in restoration activities.
