The Department of Agriculture Forest Service awarded a $3,000,000 Cooperative Agreement on August 21, 2023 to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF) under the CFDA Program 10.683 National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. Through this agreement, NFWF will provide a range of goods and services related to habitat restoration, wildlife monitoring, conservation planning, and administration of competitive grant programs supporting on-the-ground projects across the United States. Key activities will include managing subawards to state/local governments, nonprofits, tribes, and universities for initiatives focused on improving migration corridors, restoring longleaf pine ecosystems, removing marine debris, and developing electronic fisheries monitoring solutions. NFWF will leverage additional non-federal matching funds to maximize the impact of the federal investment.
