About this award
The U.S. Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs, through the Services for Trafficking Victims program (CFDA 16.320), awarded a $1,000,000 Cooperative Agreement to Arc Community Services Inc. (doing business as Arc House), a non-profit organization based in Madison, WI. This grant will fund the Wisconsin Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force (WAHTTF) to improve victim-centered and trauma-informed responses and investigations across all 72 Wisconsin counties, with a focus on the 46 rural and 25 smallest counties outside the Milwaukee metropolitan area.
The grant supports partnership with a non-federal government private foundation to build a labor trafficking multidisciplinary team and leverage those resources to create a labor trafficking victim services network and joint WAHTTF/labor trafficking MDT subcommittee. Arc Community Services Inc. serves as the lead victim service provider and has several subrecipients, including Family Support Services, United Migrant Opportunity Services, Convergence Resource Center, Family Advocates, Inc., and American Indians Against Abuse. The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation is the lead law enforcement partner.
